Michael Halloran
President and CEO

Michael drives the leadership and focuses strategic vision for NES Financial. His passion for consumer protection has defined the company’s products and services; he has emerged as a leading voice for consumer advocacy in the 1031 industry and led the company to design solutions that ensure financial security, transparency, and compliance. With an impressive track record in building high-growth organizations, Michael provides considerable expertise in enterprise-class real-time technology solutions for financial risk management, compliance, sales, and marketing. Michael’s background includes developing marketing strategies for Intel, Microsoft, Charles Schwab, Nikon and other major US corporations.

Dan Yoder
Chief Operating Officer

Dan joined NES Financial with more than 30 years of broad operating experience with client engagements for a wide range of private and public companies, including IBM, HP, Nokia, Ericsson and Samsung. Most recently serving as COO of IC Media, Dan focuses on the deployment and management of mission-critical infrastructure, corporate operations, and compliance management at NES Financial.

Reid Thomas
Executive Vice President Worldwide Sales and Marketing

Reid is responsible for global sales and marketing at NES Financial. He brings over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing at both private and public companies, and has held executive sales and marketing positions at other high growth Silicon Valley companies including Sylantro Systems, an industry pioneer in Voice Over IP, VINA Technologies, where he significantly increased the company’s revenues and market share leading to a successful IPO in 2000, and Octel Communications, which was acquired by Lucent Technologies. Most recently Reid served as SVP of Global Sales at Laszlo Systems, a global leader and pioneer in Rich Internet Applications. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario.

Kelly Alton
General Counsel

Kelly is responsible for the management of all NES Financial legal matters. She creates and implements the legal structures for NES Financial’s array of trust, escrow and 1031 solutions. Kelly is a leading tax attorney with over 30 years of experience in federal income taxation. Prior to joining NES Financial, Kelly was a senior tax consultant in the Washington National Tax Group of Deloitte Tax LLP and Counsel to the Associate Chief Counsel for the Income Tax and Accounting division of the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service National Office in Washington, DC. She is a nationally recognized expert on like-kind exchanges and related tax issues and writes and speaks frequently on these subjects. Kelly holds a J.D. degree from Harvard University and a B.A. in mathematics from Boston University and is admitted to the bars of California and Illinois.

Izak Joubert
Chief Technology Officer

Izak has over 25 years of experience in designing and deploying enterprise software solutions. He has extensive experience in large commercial software solutions in the ERP, CRM, B2B and EAI sectors. Prior to joining NES Financial he was VP Engineering and Chief Architect for H Corporation where he was responsible for the overall architecture, technical design and product strategy for all their products. Izak is well versed in several technologies including Microsoft .NET, relational database technologies including HTML, DHTML, XML and Javascript as well as Web-services working with the latest published W3C standards. He has worked with several large organizations including Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Cisco Systems, Intel, AMD, Flextronics, HP, and KLA Tencor.
